October 2018

October was jam-packed with loads of fun and we stayed super busy. It was such a great month with lots of great memories.

Pre-School was in full force and Tess and I got into a nice groove this month.  E is for Elephant and Earth!

Lunch dates with friends are the best!

This little lady started standing this month and it is so fun watching her hit so many milestones.

And also she developed a nice grandpa face!

Coco at 8 months: My little Mama's girl started letting other people hold her for a minute this month.  Once she figured out that she could stand we couldn't keep her from doing it.  She loves trying new foods and figuring out how her hands work.  She started to army crawl, but really didn't love it. We all love to make her laugh and her snuggles are the best.

Got to go out with Quincy for a bit for some one on one time.  She is so much fun to hang out with.

Silly girl...

More Pre-School fun: F is for Fish and Frog

We always love heading to Gardener Village to find the witches during October...

Coco's first ride in a wagon...I think she liked it!

 Halloween Craft Night!

Addie's Project for the Reflections Contest.  The theme was Heroes All Around Us and she decided to take polaroids of all the people she considers her heroes.  It turned out so cute and she even won an award!

Love us some shopping!

We have never heard Coco laugh this hard!  I almost couldn't believe it.  Best sound ever!

During the girl's Fall Break we decided to take a trip to see the amazing National Parks that are practically in our back yard.  So we headed down to a little town called Afton which sits right in between Zion and Bryce Canyon.

First we stopped at Cove Fort which was constructed of volcanic rock.  It was built as a resting stop for the pioneers traveling between towns.  It was a fun little historical stop to start off our trip.

We also stopped down at SUU to have lunch with Natalee.  We love seeing this girl...

The drive to Afton was beautiful and we couldn't help but stop and look out all the way to Zion!

That night we hit the town of Orderville to attend their annual Deer Hunter's Ball.  It was an experience...

The next day we headed out to Zion National Park.  The drive in was incredible and the girls had a blast hanging out the sunroof and the window.   It was gorgeous and the all of the girls were such troopers who hiked as much as their little legs could take them.

Tuckered Out...

After a full day of hiking we headed to our favorite little town right outside of Zion... Springville.  We ate at Oscar's, our favorite little restaurant there.  And of course, Tess made friends with the staff. She stood in this corner and talked to them while they worked.

At our Air BnB...

We spent the next day in Kanab.  Devin found an Animal Sanctuary where the girls could go and hold and play with a bunch of cats.  Tess was in heaven and they all had so much fun.

We also visited the Heritage House, a historical home built in 1894.

We then went to see some old movie sets that were used here in Utah...

Then we went to Moqui Cave which is a museum that is built into a cave in the mountain.

That evening we went to the chalk art festival...

Fun at the ranch that we stayed at...

Day 3 we went to Bryce Canyon.  It was cold and a few minutes after we got there it began to rain.  Hard.  It poured in fact.  I was so disappointed because I really wanted the girls to see how amazing Bryce Canyon was.  After debating about whether to just head home or try to wait it out we decided to stop at a restaurant just outside of the park to eat lunch and see if the rain would pass.  Fortunately it did and we were able to hike a loop and see some of the most amazing sights. Bryce Canyon is absolutely gorgeous.

Love the cuddles from this sweet little lady...

I decided that I was tired of having all our laundry stuff out in the open and that I really wanted more cabinet space.  So I set out to fix this problem and our laundry room got an entire makeover.  It's not perfect but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Bathing beauty...

Discovered that she loves these cart cars...

And suddenly the Halloween festivities were upon us.  First I took Coco, Tess, and her BFF Kassidy to the Legacy Center Halloween Extravaganza.  They had so much fun.

Meanwhile, Devin took Addie and Quincy to the Father/Daughter Halloween Date for Activity Days.  They carved pumpkins and had so much fun.

Crazy Hair Day...

Got all dressed up for the neighborhood Halloween Party...

And then of course the school parade...

And just like that Halloween was here.  We started with a special Halloween dinner...

And then headed out for some Trick or Treating.

 I is for Igloo...

October was such a great month.  And was such a great way to start the holiday season.
