March started off with Quincy playing in some volleyball tournaments. We have loved watching her progress in this sport and grow to love it even more...

Then we celebrated Dr. Seuss week at school. 

 Dress as Favorite book character.        Green Eggs and Ham for lunch.          Picnic Read A-Thon.              

 

Coco decided to give soccer a try. She loved it... at first. But it was fun watching her try something new...

Addy ran track during the spring and it was fun to see her at her races...

Devin was in such a hurry when he left that he had to leave a pile of laundry on my bed. Cubby wasn't thrilled that he was gone and I would find him randomly laying in his office by himself. So I took these 2 pictures and text them to Devin saying, "One of us misses you. And one of doesn't."

For her 14th Birthday Devin took Quincy to Boston. They got to see all of the historical sites, went to a professional hockey game, saw the Blue Man Group, rode the subway, and tried all of Boston's amazing food. They had such a great time 

While they were gone, they 3 girls at home all fell asleep in my bed. I knew this would likely never happen again so I had to document it. After I started working, I wanted to try having my nails done. I had them this do these cute Easter ones...

Since Devin and Quincy were in Boston during Spring Break, I decided to take the other 3 girls to Fruita, Colorado to see Ryan and Sara's new house. They had moved there just a few months before and we were excited to see their new area. Our first stop was a playground while we waited for them to come home...

It was so fun to be a part of their family for a few days. The kids hung our together...

Sara took us to see the Colorado National Monument...

We did some shopping, spent more time hanging out, and even got to see Davis wrestle. It was awesome seeing their love for their new community and just spending some good time with them...

A few days later, we left super early in the morning so that we could stop and hike in Arches National Park. We had never been and it has been on my bucket list so we thought it was worth the stop while we were so close. We watched the sun rise as we drove into the park...

And then the hiking began. We started with Delicate Arch. This was our longest hike and the most worthwhile one so we thought it would be best to knock it out first. It was uphill most of the way and there were a few time that I wasn't sure if Coco was going to keep going. But somehow we managed to get all the way there and it was stunning. Definitely worth the struggle to get there...

Our next hike (if you can call it that) was a short walk from the parking lot to see Landscape Arch. It's the longest arch in park. I wanted to continue on to see the Double O Arch but could only convince Tess to come with me. The other 2 waited in the car. We saw the most spectacular views and I was so happy that Tess came with me and got to see all the things that we saw...

Since we were running out of time, we quickly stopped at Double Arch which was also just a short walk from the parking lot. This one was fun because we could actually climb up inside the arches. We had fun climbing around before we got back in the car to make the long drive home. As we drove we also saw Skyline Arch, Balancing Rock, and so many other amazing sights. I am always amazed at the beauty of this earth and so glad we are able to experience so much of it...

Ahh... the sign of a good day...

Another stop that we just had to make was in Price. Mine and Devin's college town. And more specifically at Groggs. Still in business after 20 years and still serving my favorite sandwich. Afterwards, I showed the girls around a little and even let them play at the Dinosaur Park. They didn't last long though... too cold...

Once back at home our life looked a lot like this...

For Activity Days, we took the boys fishing at a local pond. They had the best time and even got to see and platform full of turtles...

Diamond Valley Elementary Color Run. This annual event is one of the girl's favorite things to do...

Tess loves doing things for other people. Her knew thing is massages...

For school, Addy had to bring home one of those real-like babies. Oh man was it funny to see her deal with all the crying, having to feed or change it when she was hungry or trying to do other things, and have to wake up several times throughout the night. Her response to this was,"Every kid should have to do this cause it's the best birth control there is."

For Easter this year we decided to spend more time talking about Holy Week. It was so fun talking to the girls about things that happened in Jesus' last week on earth. For one of the activities we created a 3D Last Supper. We are going to try to do even more next year...

We celebrated Easter early since we wanted to travel up north to be with family over easter. Our Easter Morning...

While up north we had some time to go to the Church's museums downtown...

On Easter Morning we were able to go to a beautiful church service with Grandma and Grandpa Payne. Afterwards, Grandma introduced us to Hot Cross Buns...

Then we headed up to Grandma and Grandpa Wayment's house for dinner and easter bags...

That brought March to an end. What an incredible month full of trips, memories, family, and fun. So glad we are blessed to do the things that we were able to do this month.
