Yesterday

-Yesterday she stood at the door with Addie to wave goodbye as I left for work.
-Yesterday she planted a garden - veggies in the back, flowers in the front.
-Yesterday she wrote me a message... just because she wanted to say hi.
-Yesterday she cleaned the car.
-Yesterday she cleaned the house.
-Yesterday she held her daughter's hand and sang her a song.
-Yesterday she prepared a lesson for the nursery.
-Yesterday she got me an ice pack, advil, and snacks after I twisted my ankle.
-Yesterday she tried the best she could to get someone over to our house at 10:00 PM to listen for Addie so that she could come and watch my game.
-Yesterday she supported me in taking risks in the stock market.
-Yesterday she thought of ideas on how to make money that we could use on fun stuff together.
-Yesterday she stopped her phone conversation so that she could kiss me goodbye.
-Yesterday she gave the garbage man a gatorade because it was hot outside.
-Yesterday she did so much more than I have room to write on this post.
-Yesterday she made me realize the beauty of life.

Yesterday all my troubles seemed so far away...
I can't wait for what tomorrow brings, and the next day, and the next, etc, etc.

I love you, my dear wife.

Surf N' Swim

So to kick off the summer season I decided to take Adalyn swimming at the Layton Surf N' Swim. Adalyn absolutely loved it and got pretty upset when I took her out to put on more sunscreen and give her something to eat. We were having so much fun I didn't even realize that we had been there for 3 hours. When we got home I thought to myself, "Geez, for as long as we were out there I didn't get much sun!" Boy was I wrong! We are staying inside today due to my first sunburn of the season!

Happy Summer!!

Memorial Weekend

We spent the weekend up at my parent's cabin and had a great time relaxing, 4-wheeling, and just plain getting dirty. Adalyn especially enjoyed the getting dirty part. She also rode the 4-wheelers for the first time and absolutely loved it. Here are a bunch of pictures of the weekend.

Adalyn discovered lizards for the first time... she wasn't afraid of them however we couldn't let her hold them cause she just wanted to squeeze them and probably would have squeezed them a little too hard. There were also lots of dogs around for Adalyn to play with... she loved every minute she had to follow them around and play with them.

Adalyn loved crawling and walking around in the dirt. It was all we could do to get her to stop to eat or sleep. She is definitely an 'outdoor' girl!

Everyone around the campfire, making S'mores.

Adalyn loved playing with Grandma and Grandpa.

Thanks for everything this weekend, Mom and Dad! We all had a great time!

Laundry Fun!

Adalyn loves helping me with the laundry. Especially when I open the dryer... she stands and pulls all the clothes out for me. More recently though she discovered how fun it is to pull clothes from the laundry baskets and hand them to me so I can put them in the washer. But as her pile got smaller she began climbing into the basket in order to reach the clothes... and she realized how much more fun doing that was!

What a cute little helper I have!

Baking, and Bridals, and Animals... Oh My!

With the on-set of the warm weather we have tried to stay busy with different things. Here are some things that we have been doing lately:

Adalyn loves to watch me cook, but even more she loves to eat whatever it is that I have cooked... especially if it is a desert of some sort.

Devin does too! Quite the resemblance, don't you think?

We also were able to go with my sister Melissa to have her bridals done at the International Peace Gardens. She looked gorgeous and the gardens were beautiful. By the time we left, Addie had touched every rock and dirt pile she could find. It was fun!

Yesterday my friend Jessica and I took the kids to Gardener Village. They had a cute little petting zoo that we took them in. The kids were so excited and absolutely loved all the animals. The goats tried to eat anything and everything in sight so we had to take the strollers and diaper bags back outside.

They even tried eating Addie's flower!

And our sweet Auntie Rose even treated us to some yummy deserts at the cute Naborhood Bakery.

It was such a fun day and I am so glad that we were able to go. On the way home this is what Adalyn did for the entire 40 minute drive... (sorry that the video is sideways, I forget that I can't turn the camera when I am taking video)

Pig Tails!

Today we attempted Adalyn's first pig tails. They are small but so cute! She is getting so big... I can't believe how much older she looks in this picture!

Also, here is another picture from the Colorado trip that I accidentally forgot to post and it is too cute not to. One morning we had bagels for breakfast and all 3 kids decided that they wanted some too. Shannon willingly gave hers up, and broke piece by piece to share with the kids. Because Addie loved having another little girl around so much, she decided to be helpful... She would take a piece from Shannon, feed Maddie, and then turn to Shannon for another piece for herself. It was so cute!

Our Trip to Colorado

Last week Adalyn and I took a trip to Colorado with all the girls on Devin's side of the family. Our sister-in-law, Becky, had a baby that we had not met and we were all anxious to see her. It was such a fun trip and it was especially great getting all (minus Natalee and Carson) the cousins together. Adalyn loved playing with them and got so excited every time she saw them. Here are the pictures of our eventful trip...

Meeting baby Katherine for the first time. What a cute baby girl! Unfortunately Addie got a little jealous... whenever someone was holding Katherine, Addie wanted that person to hold her! Grandma did such a great job at making sure that everone was happy!

Addie and Maddie playing on the slide

Sara, Maddie, and Eleanor swinging (Isaac running in the background)

Carousel ride... Addie was a little scared at first but ended up really liking it. The other kids just loved it!

Our sleeping arrangements for 3 full nights! This is no optical illusion... you are seeing 3 pack n' plays! We had 3 kids under 2 years old and 3 adults all in 1 hotel room! Are we crazy? I think so! It actually turned out better than any of us had expected... and at times was really cute! For instance... one morning we had a 7:30 wake up call of Isaac singing us 'Old Mcdonald', and right before going to sleep the 2 girls would babble to each other. It was fun!

Swimming! All of the kids absolutely loved swimming. Grandma even tossed them all into the pool (and the arms of their waiting mothers of course) and they couldn't get enough!

Arterwards Adalyn slept through the TV, 6 adults talking, 3 kids playing, and 1 baby crying! What a good little sleeper!

Plane ride...Addie loved the plane rides. She charmed all the people around us!

Two peas in a pod. These two were so fun to watch. They would crawl around together and discover new things together. Addie especially loved her new companion... someone just like her!

Thanks to everyone for such a wonderful time! Thanks especially to Gavin, Becky, Eleanor, and Katherine for allowing us all to invade your house, eat your food, and take up your time... you guys are the best!

Is it 8:30 yet?

BRING MY LADIES HOME!
