January 2025

Ringing in the New Year always brings a sense of new beginnings, new goals, new determination to excel and try new things. But also we are still tired...

After years and years of growing out her hair, Addy decided she was ready for a change. So our friend Lindsi cut her hair and Addy then donated her hair to make wigs for children. She ended up looking so cute too...

We also got to celebrate Tess' best friend, Ell's birthday at the Rink...

Devin was also surprised to find out that he was receiving the BORD award from his work. He was been working so hard for Vasion and they recognized him for his work ethic and his respect for those he works with...

The company also had a Western Casino night...

Tess is such a lover of animals and will often go to the pet store just to hold the pets. And Quincy started her season of club and they did a team bonding night...

More hiking and sleeping...

And finally it was time to leave on our trip. The flight to Florida was the longest flight that the younger girls have taken but they did so well...

This is what happens when you try to block me from taking pictures...

And we were finally there...

Day 1: Florida was having a crazy cold front so we had to change up our plans and we started our trip by checking out Disney Springs which is a huge shopping area. It was a really cool area but we were freezing and after a bit we decided to just head to our Air BnB to play at the arcade...

Day 2: With it still being cold out we decided to head to St. Augustine first. St. Augustine is the oldest continuously occupied settlement in America founded by the Spanish in 1565. We were able to walk through the cutest little town and then tour the Castillo De San Marcos, a fortress that was built between 1672 and 1695...

After that we went to the Alligator Farm...

And then stopped for a quick look at the St. Augustine Lighthouse. This whole area was absolutely beautiful with so much greenery and trees with hanging moss everywhere....

Day 3: The next day was our first official day at Disney World. We started in Animal Kingdom and had so much fun. Everyone loved it and especially enjoyed the safari to see all the animals...

Day 4: The next day we started to see some sun so naturally the girls wanted to swim at the pool...

And then we decided to do an Airboat tour on Lake Tohopekaliga to find some Alligators. It was so much fun and the lake was beautiful with so much wildlife and greenery...

After the airboat tour we had to try the pizza place that everyone told us about. It was amazing...

Day 5: We headed back to Disney World. Today we went to Hollywood Studios. This land was so much fun with all the cute rides and characters. Slinky Dog and Mickey's Runaway Railroad were the favorites for the littles while Aerosmith and the Star Wars ride were the favorites for the olders...

Day 6: Magic Kingdom Day. After taking a tram from the parking lot, we had to take a ferry to get to Magic Kingdom. It was fun but definitely a process to get in and out of the park. Magic Kingdom was definitely the most iconic of the Disney Parks. Princesses and other characters, yummy treats, and cute shows and rides. It was the perfect way to end our trip. Of course we had to get Giordano's Pizza one more time...

Within a couple of days of getting home Quincy and I drove to Las Vegas for a massive tournament for her club team. It was fun watching the team play and spending some time with Quincy. We also got to drive through the new Tesla Tunnels that run underneath the city...

This tournament lasted for a few days so it continues in February...
