August 2022

August of 2022 started with Tess being baptized. She was so excited to officially become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. She is such a sweet, sensitive girl who already embodies so many Christlike attributes and we love that she is taking the steps to continue on the path of becoming more like our Savior. She was blessed to have both sets of grandparents there, as well as some friends and primary teachers. She asked Quincy to give a talk and Addy to sing and it was a wonderful day of reflecting on the covenants we make with our Heavenly Father.

Tess and Ell: Besties Forever

With summer quickly coming to an end, we did what we could to make the most of it. We were able to see Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat at Tuacahn, with David Archuleta.

We had some playdates...

Coco's dance team had their team pictures taken...

We took in some amazing sunsets, summer storms, and rainbows...

Before we knew it, it was time to start the school year with our Annual Back To School Night. I love having a special dinner with a goal that we can work on as a family throughout the year. I also love when Devin is able to give a father's blessing to each of the girls individually to help them with their specific needs throughout the year.

And then the older 3 were off to school for new year of learning...

And Coco and I did this...

Shortly after school started we had 2 Foreign Exchange Students from Japan come and stay with us for 2 weeks. Ririse(DeeDeeSe) and Futoba. They were the absolute sweetest girls and it was so fun showing them around St. George, learning about their culture, and getting to know them as best as we could. They only spoke a little english, but we were able to communicate well enough that we could enjoy our time with them very much. We were even able to FaceTime Ririse's mom and she told us how grateful she was to know that her daughter had ended up with a family who cared for her so much. The girls especially loved having them. It was such a wonderful experience.

Addy started running for the Cross Country Team this year and it is so fun to watch her race and support her as she runs.

August went by in a literal flash. We had so much fun with all of the new experiences we had and memories that we made.
