August 2019

We started August off with a trip up to Billings, Montana to visit Ryan and Sara and their family. The first morning we were there I took the opportunity to attend the Temple.  It was quiet and small and perfect.

We spent the next few days hanging out, exploring Billings, and enjoying the company of this wonderful family.

On the way home, we took the long route and drove through Bear Tooth Pass and Yellowstone.  It was a long drive but it was so beautiful.  Such amazing views of nature and wildlife.

We even stopped to check out Old Faithful and managed to time it perfectly!

Our annual mountain picnic with the Leopard Ladies Crew and this is the only picture I managed to get?  Addie and Avery were proving how big and tough they are by climbing as high as they possibly could.

Colette started nursery this month and I was not expecting it to go very well.  I figured she would scream and cry until I gave in and stayed with her.  Instead and surprisingly she went right in and didn't even notice when I left.  I was thrilled and it has really helped her to come out of her shell so much.

And we love it when she learns new words or phrases...

And her killer dance moves...

Great Grandma Johnson had some health problems the last few months.  We were able to visit her while she was in the hospital and then again in this care facility.  She is such a happy, friendly lady and always has a smile and a joke for anyone who comes in the room.  This is the first time Coco would interact with her and it was awesome.

Then we were able to have an awesome dinner with Great Grandma and Grandpa Wayment.  We always love spending time with these guys and again Coco finally started wanting to interact with them.

Tess sometimes likes to pretend she's bigger than she is...

Had some fun at the Utah County Fair...

Another round of croup and another hospital run for this poor babe...

And just like that summer came to an end and we were doing our annual Back 2 School night.  We had a special dinner with our theme Reach for the Stars with notes and treats to start the girls new school year off right.

And Devin gave them each a Father's Blessing for the new year.  How grateful we are that Devin can use his Priesthood power to offer the girls blessings and comfort for the year ahead.

Kassidy + Tess= The Best of Friends

First Day of School for the older girls.  They were both so happy with the teachers that they were going to have and excited for the year ahead.

With one week left before starting Kindergarten we decided to have some fun...

This girl loves pulling stuff out and putting it right back in...

 We love visiting Grandma Ruth!

This moment felt I skipped ahead 5 years and suddenly have a 16 year old...

Sometimes its like we have a puppy...

A day at the farm...

Holland and Briny were visiting their grandparents for the summer and were such great friends for Tess to have around.  At the end of the summer we had to say goodbye as they headed home to Alaska.

Coco stacking with Grandma...

And then it was Tess' turn for her first day of Kindergarten.  She was so excited to finally be going to school!

Took the older 3 to see Cinderella at the Hale Center Theatre. Such a fun night.

Tess is lucky to have such good friends...

 Funny kid...

Wayment Family Reunion at the Cabin. Unfortunately Tess got sick right before this trip and had to stay home with Dad.  We were sad that they weren't with us.

Poor Girl...

August ended and September started up at the cabin...
