After such a busy February, March felt like such a breeze and went by very quickly. 

  

We started seeing a little bit of sun and warmth creep in and we discovered that Coco loves being outside as much as possible. 

Preschool Fun: V is for Volcano

Grandma Payne's Aunt, who lives in South Africa, made this sweater set for Coco. She look like a little doll. 

Tess decided this month that she wanted short hair.  So she cut it.  I was sad to see those long curls go away but she looks adorable with her new do!

 I don't know why but I love watching babies eat finger foods...

 Especially when they want the whole box...

Now that she is mobile, we find her in every small space she can climb into...

Coco really started mastering walking this month.  It started off with just a few steps on her own, from person to person, and then she really just took off. 

Every couple of weeks Coco has a few days where she spikes a random (and usually pretty high) fever.  There are no other symptoms and she is usually tested for all the usual things with the results typically being negative.  She recently had all her blood work done and everything came back looking great.  But still the fevers... for 3-5 days she is just miserable.  With no explanation.  And it is so sad. And hard.  Because as per the usual... she just wants to be held. By me. At all times.  For the first couple of days I do everything I can to comfort her, neglecting basically everything else.  And then it all catches up to me and she still wants to be held every moment and I try to do both and start to fall apart.  And then a couple weeks later, we are doing it all over again. And it breaks your heart to see her like this.   

We have taken her temperature so many times she knows exactly what to do with the thermometer.

Y is for Yak

Tess gave one of her first talks in church this month.  She loves talking, especially when a whole crowd of people is listening!

Independence is so messy!

Look closely.  See those bruises on her head?  She decided that head-banging was the cool thing to do now.  When she doesn't want to sleep she bangs her head on the side of her crib.  Its real fun. 

Addie had a school project called Images of Greatness.  Each person in her class picked someone in history, researched the person, and prepared a speech about their life to put on a wax museum.  Addie chose Jackie Kennedy and did an amazing job portraying her. 

 On the last day of March we headed to California.  Our drive down was pretty rough because we somehow managed to hit several hour-long delays.  It was a relief to everyone when we finally got to our hotel. 

We stopped in St. George for lunch and found this awesome park.  We definitely need one of these swings close to us!
