February 2016

February always brings a lot of celebrations in our home.  With 2 birthdays and Valentines Day there's a lot of sugar, fun, and love swarming around!  First off we had Quincy's birthday!  We always love celebrating this kid!  She is just so much fun!

She had a full day of presents, treats for her classmates, and her choice of dinner at Chuck-A-Rama!  More fun than this 6 year old could handle!

This kid never stops...NEVER!  She loves pulling one arm out of the her sleeve and she figured out how to climb up onto our kitchen chairs this month.  Just one more thing I have to worry about with her now! :(

Sweet sisters... I will never get enough of this...

We love watching our friends make the choice to be baptized.  We were able to attend Will Nielson's baptism and we were so glad to be there. Such a sweet kid!

Sometimes playing in the mall playgrounds just to get out of the house is necessary...

School Valentine's Parties.  I have been so lucky this year to be able to volunteer at the girl's school parties and activities.  Its fun to watch how they interact with their classmates and to see them in their school environment.  I was asked to do the craft again at Addie's party (I'm not sure what they were thinking) but I picked a less complicated craft and it seemed to go over pretty well.

Poor Q got quite sick just before her party started but the poor thing was so sad that she wouldn't be a part of it so she did her best to stick it out.  She enjoyed it as much as she was able to!

Decorating Valentine's Cookies...

Valentine's Day was simple for us this year.  But we had just as much love to share!
We had our annual candlelight dinner that is always so special for us...

This kid had a rough few months with being sick up and down.  But she still always had her bubbly, happy attitude as much as she could.

We were able to host a ward dinner night with a few couples and it was a lot of fun.  Such a great way to get to know people better!

We have had a few days of sunshine this month and we took advantage of it wherever we could...

We don't get to do it as often as we like, but we always have a blast hanging out with the Barnes!

Devin's birthday:  We love celebrating this guy!

For his birthday we were able to go to the Provo City Center Temple open house.  It was gorgeous and all the details of it were incredible.  It was so great being there as a family.  Tess was really struggling as we waited to get in and we wondered if we would make it, but as soon as we entered the temple she completely calmed down.  We also had a sweet couple behind us who willingly took her when she got a little restless (bless them) and she willingly went along with them!

Afterwards we were able to go out for pupusas... the perfect meal for this birthday boy!

And Nothing Bundt Cakes ended out the celebration...

At the beginning of the year we signed up for a membership at the Legacy Center and we have taken every possible advantage of it.  Tessly's first time swimming (where she understood what we were doing that is).  And isn't this swimsuit to die for?

This stage is one of my favorites. Hearing all the words that she learns on a daily basis is the sweetest thing you could ever hear! And somehow she has the best manners... she says please and thank you and has even learned to say excuse me after she (or someone else) burps!

Sister snuggles are the best!
