We had a lot of fun in March.  With Tess finally starting to feel better and sleep better, things seemed to get much easier for us.  So we tried to make the most of it!

Tried the swings for the first time and loved it! 

We started giving her formula but the ONLY way she would take a bottle at first was if she was watching a One Direction video.  She would fight us and cry right up until the music started and then she would just stop and drink.  Those boys really are magical!

Though she has yet to crawl, she has been able to get herself wherever she wants to go by scooting backwards.

But she prefers to be standing.  She is always wanting to hold our hands and stand on her feet. Here she is propped between the couch and the ottoman and she was so happy.

We also started giving her more table foods this month...

With her favorite being Cheetos... naturally. 

She has also been learning to wave and I love seeing her do it...

Quincy finished up soccer this month and she enjoyed it a lot. Especially on the days where she made several goals!

Utah Trip: 

We had some major family events taking place at the same time and we were fortunate enough that we were able to work things out so that we could make the trip to be there for them.  This is what we looked like trekking our stuff through the parking garage, onto a shuttle, and through the airport.  2 adults, 3 kids, 4 suitcases, and 3 carseats makes it real interesting.  I couldn't help but laugh at a young couple staring at us in utter disbelief!

The flight was bliss.  All 3 girls were magnificent and Tessly even befriended the stranger sitting next to us.  She kept staring at him and reaching out and touching his arm.  For the last 10 minutes of the flight she just held his hand.  

The first family event was the Baptism of our nephew Isaac.  It was a wonderful day and we were so impressed with how prepared Isaac was to be baptized a member of the church.  

We love this sweet family and visiting with them this week was extra special because they moved to Maine the following week.  We were grateful that we could be with them on this special day.

The next day we headed to Grandma and Grandpa Wayment's.  The girls were a little worn out...

Grandma and Grandpa decided to have an Easter egg hunt for the girls since we wouldn't be able to see them on Easter.  The girls were so excited.

The next day we had a chance to hang out with my older sister, Angie, and her family.  It was a fun day.  

These 4 were inseparable.  And so cute together.  

On Tuesday I was able to meet up with my sister-in-law, Sara, and my sister Melissa.  Cousins + The Museum of Natural Curiosity= More fun than we can handle!

And of course lunch afterwards at In N Out is necessary...

A playdate with our best friends is always a priority when we visit Utah.  This is one awesome group of people. 

Grandma Payne took all the girls to see Cinderella.  It was such a fun girl's night and a darling movie.

Then we all headed over to let them do some rock climbing.  I was super impressed with how well they did.  

We even got to sneak in a date night with Ryan and Sara.  So glad we had a chance to hang out with this guys.  They are a great couple, awesome parents, and wonderful examples to us.  

The other major family event was baby Landon being sealed to my brother, Josh, and his wife, Kelsie.  This was such a sweet and tender experience.  What a blessing it is for them to know that they can have their son for eternity.  Love this family.

And thus ended our trip.  We couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to be with family during this time.  And we are especially grateful to those who went out of their way to help us make it possible.  

Back in California... 

Addie has been taking voice lessons for the past few months and at the end she had a small recital.  She had been working so hard to learn and memorize several songs and I was so proud of how well she did.  Here are a couple of the songs she performed...

And Tessly rode the carousel for the first time.  She loved it!

We also decided that it was high time to put Tess in the girl's room.  So we finally bought her a crib and it really has been awesome.  Granted she still wakes up occasionally, but the girls are handling it well and so is she.

Park days with friends are always great and we are so lucky that we get to go to the park often.  Makes up for not having a backyard!
