During the first week of August we headed out for a family reunion in Cape Cod, MA. The entire Payne family made their way to the East Coast, where Mom and Dad Payne rented a beach house in Eastham for all 21 of us to stay in. It was such an amazing week... So amazing that I couldn't even begin to describe it, so I will let the pictures do most of the talking.
This was the beach that was 1/2 a mile from the house we were staying at. It was so gorgeous and loaded with shells and hermit crabs for the kids to find.
Girl's Day at Harwich Port Beach. This beach was by far the best beach we found and it came with my new favorite food... Warm Lobster Roll (I am drooling just thinking about it!)
Hiking through some of the woodsy areas
Big family dinner at Moby Dick's
Our little family took a day to go see Plymouth Rock. The town was adorable and it was fun to see where The United States first began.
Quincy in front of Chief Massasoit... He was the first chief to befriend the pilgrims and help them survive.
Landing point of the Pilgrims...
Replica of The Mayflower
More pics of the beach by our house...
At low tide we could walk clear out into the ocean. If you see that speck of light in the background that is where the beach is...
It was so fun staying with family for a whole week. The cousins had so much fun together...
This was such an amazing experience, and we are so glad that we were able to share it with the wonderful Payne family. Lots of love and memories were shared on this trip and we can't thank Mom and Dad enough for putting this all together and doing so much for everyone!
