October 2020

 Going into October, we knew it was going to be a busy month for us.  Lots of visitors, more exploring, and of course Halloween filled our month with lots of fun and great memories.  

First, we found out that because of a low gum-line, Coco's 2 front teeth had some extensive damage and needed to have crowns placed on them.  Because she is so little they had to put her out for the process.  She was a champ through the whole thing though and it all went as best as it could. 

Quincy decided she wanted to play volleyball this season.  They were in need of coaches, so Devin and I stepped up and coached her team.  The girls were so awesome and we loved being a part of this.  Quincy really enjoyed it and is looking forward to next season!

Next, my brother Josh, his wife Kelsie, and their kids Landon and Maylie came to stay.  It was so fun showing them around, eating out a lot, and just enjoying their company.  We love the one on one time we are getting with people as they come to visit us!

I never want to forget that even on my hard days, she was right by my side.

We had been attempting potty training for quite a few months, but nothing seemed to work. Coco just wasn't interested. When my brother came with their daughter who was potty training, Coco was intrigued and joined Maylie in the bathroom almost every time.  We decided to push forward with this momentum and set ourselves up for success.  We took away diapers right away, went straight to exciting new panties, and basically lived in the bathroom for 3 days.  But she picked it up, and before we knew it she was fully potty trained in no time!

Coco also really got the hang of her scooter this month.  Now she cruises everywhere!

Next up, was a visit from the Olsen crew! Once again we showed them around, ate way too much (especially Peanut Butter M&M's), played games, and enjoyed all the memories that we made with them!

Parks days with all of the kids are rare now that school is back in. So fun to have them altogether...

Went to see Thriller at the Tuacahn with some friends.  It was such a fun night!

Addie was invited to a Halloween party and they decorated pumpkins.  My one request was for her to take pictures.  I got one...

Halloween Parades at school.  We felt pretty fortunate that the girl's schools were allowing this tradition during COVID!

And finally, the long-awaited Halloween night was here.  The girls were so excited to dress up and go around with their friends!  We started the night with a neighborhood dinner and then the girls were off.  It was fun to see them running around the neighborhood with their friends.  Coco and her bestie Lauren happened to wear the same costume and it was so fun trick or treating with them.  

And that ended our October. With lots of memories made and more candy than any child should ever have times 4!
