The last month of school is always the busiest. School activities suddenly triple, extracurricular activities come to an end with extra performances, final projects are due, and we are all just anxiously awaiting the warm summer months.
We started out May by going to the Tulip Festival at Thanksgiving Point. We had to take a bus in, walked around the gardens, played on bounce houses, Tess told Jesus that she loved him as we walked around the Life of Christ statues, and then ended with a picnic by the waterfalls.
At 3 months old, Colette started grabbing things like her binky, rattles, and our hair. She gives kisses and is starting to notice everything around her. She loves bath time and talking and being held all the time. We gave her a bottle for the first time this month and she took it like a champ. Her neck muscles are getting stronger and she even started sitting up in the Bumbo. She laughed at us for the first time this month and I'm pretty sure that there isn't a sweeter sound out there.
While Devin was on his paternity leave he decided he wanted to start learning the piano. After realizing that the piano we had wasn't the best, and also knowing that the girls would need something better as they continue to improve, he decided to start looking for something better. He found this Baby Grand listed on KSL for an amazing price and jumped right on it. It has been fun seeing ow much the girls enjoy playing it and also seeing how much Devin continues to improve.

4th Grade Utah Play...
This summer we decided that we wanted to invest in a play set for the kids. Since our entire yard slopes one way or another we decided that the best place for it would be the garden area. We decided to remove our 2 large garden boxes and replace it with a play set. What I thought would be a semi-simple job turned into weeks of hard physical labor. This is a picture after we removed the first large garden box and about 1000 lbs of rock. That second garden box would almost be the death of us since it was made with treated wood that not even a chainsaw could cut through. Plus we then had to remove about 1000 lbs of dirt, dig in a border, and level out the entire ground. On top of that we had 2 tons of rubber mulch delivered and it came while Devin was out of town. Luckily, my sweet neighbor saw me hauling it in and came out and helped me move it to my garage!

School Dance Festival!
Tess has been taking gymnastics all year and they held an exhibition to show what she has been learning. She is the cutest little gymnast! She kept blowing us kisses throughout the whole thing! So proud of her!
Addie played softball this season and despite this cute picture of her and her friend Kembree, Addie decided that she wasn't into playing softball anymore. So she finished out the season and decided that it would be her last.
Addie had one last project to complete for the 4th grade. A table top arcade game that is 50% recyclable. She did such a great job.
We met up with some cousins at Lagoon one weekend in May. Its fun to see these kids together. And Quincy overcame her fears and went on the biggest rides, Cannibal and Wicked. She ended up loving them!
Aunt Kelsie got some good laughs out of Coco...
All the Payne kids were in the same state over Memorial weekend so naturally we did breakfast! Unfortunately Mom and Dad Payne were on a cruise so we missed having them with us.
It's a lot of work, but we do have a beautiful yard!
We always hate when dad has to leave us on a business trip and everyone is excited when he finally comes home!
School's Out For Summer!! It's finally over! We have been so excited for this day to get here! No more schedules or getting places on time... just carefree summer days ahead!
