June was a great start to our summer fun! We kept busy with lots of fun stuff and enjoyed not having schedules, routines, homework, and bedtimes! This was our June...
Tess and Quincy spent some time hanging out at the park and feeding sheep while Addie had baseball practice. They didn't seem to mind too much.
These 2 have a glorious love/hate relationship. They absolutely adore each other... until they don't!
Spent lots of time at baseball. It was really fun to see how much Addie improved over the season!
Her hair is finally long enough for pigtails! Too cute!
We swam as much as we possibly could. Pool days are the best days! Especially since we met up with our Sandy friends most of the time!
This wee one was super timid of the water at first. She wouldn't even let me hold her and take her in. Eventually she warmed right up to it and then there was no stopping her!
Since school schedules make it a little hard for hang outs, we decided to take advantage of the summer months and squoze in as many hang out as we could.
Mary, Mary quite contrary, how does your garden grow? Pretty well actually, considering we have no idea what we are doing!
We are always amazed with how quickly Tess picks things up. She is very good at observing and listening to others and then just mimics what they do.
I don't know why this is weird to me but it is. It's hard to tell but her tongue is laying completely flat folded in half.
Blackridge Pond was another great way to get some swim/sun time in.
Grandpa Wayment came to watch one of Addie's games and the girls made him some Father's Day cards.
We took a drive up to Heber one day and stopped to eat at the Dairy Keen. They have an electronic train that continuously goes around and around and Tess was unbelievably excited. This is just a short clip but this excitement lasted the entire time we were there eating. (Warning: turn down the volume before playing video!)
On the way back, we stopped to overlook Deer Creek Reservoir. So beautiful.
Then we stopped to walk through Sundance and loved it.
Some days we just laid around and played our devices.
Another thing Tess was terrified of at first was the Trampoline. She would not go on it without being held. One time we set her down in the middle of the tramp and told her to walk or crawl to the edge. We bribed her, encouraged her, and basically did everything we could to get her to move the 2 feet that stood between her and the door to the tramp. It took well over 20 min before she could manage it. When she finally started to get comfortable it was exciting to see her jumping on "her own." As long as she holds on to the sides of the door she is fine but she wouldn't budge from that spot for a long time.
And Addie insisted that we go out as much as possible with her Candy Cart.
We were able to go to our very first Lehi Rodeo Roundup and everyone loved it.
I purposefully snuck this picture to remember this awesome couple behind us. We didn't know them but even though they had more kids than we did, they kept sharing all of their newly purchased candy with our kids. Such great examples of taking care of and loving those around you.
Then we were so fortunate to have our California besties, The Villamizars, visit us. We really miss living close to these guys!
And Tess just loved Dan. She wanted him to hold her all night! Needless to say, Lucia didn't love that she was monopolizing her dad.
And then June came to an end. One month of summer over and we couldn't believe how fast the time went by.
