August 2021

August began with a school shopping trip up north.  We shopped, stayed at the worst hotel ever, visited as many family and friends that we could, and came home ready to start the new school year.  We couldn't believe how quickly summer had passed (mostly because we were sick for half of it!) and that school was already upon us.

Visits with the Grandparents are the absolute best!

After this trip it was decided that I am no longer allowed to book hotels.  Somehow I manage to pick the worst ones in even worse areas.  But we survived and can laugh about it now!

Shopping with my girl while the older girls had playdates with their Lehi friends.

Carson and a "friend" came to visit and stayed with us.  It was so fun showing them around and they even took the girls out for ice cream!

Took the girls to House of Jump one day and they had a blast!

And just like that we were doing our annual Back To School Night.  This year our theme was Let Your Light Shine!  All 4 of these girls have the most amazing talents and love and we hope that they are spreading that love to as many people as they can.  They are such awesome kids and I love that Devin has the power to bless them with specific things that they will need throughout this coming year.  This year we will have 3 girls at 3 different schools: Addy: 8th Grade at Snow Canyon Middle School, Quincy: 6th Grade and Lava Ridge Intermediate School, Tessly: Diamond Valley Elementary, Coco: Lots of mommy time.

Night with the older two for dinner and Count of Monte Cristo at Tuacahn.  It was such a fun night!

We were able to drive to see Shannon be married to Brian Kinsey in the Payson Temple.  We are so happy for them and glad that we could be a part of their day!

Summer thunderstorms are my favorite and they are no joke here.  I love sitting outside and watching the huge flashes of lightening!

This girls kills me...

Addy had her first Jr. High dance. What? How old am I and how did we get here?  It was beach themed and I love how she dove right in, dressed up, and did her thing!

Had an awesome day riding wave runners with some friends at Gunlock Reservoir...

School pictures. (Addy wasn't thrilled with hers so she will be retaking them later.)

Spending every last ounce of summer on the water!

With school in and new routines set, August had us looking forward to the upcoming school year. As much as we miss the freedom of summer, it's always good for all of us to have a routine to keep is in line.
